* For those who never heard of joikuspot, it is a Symbian S60 app that turns your wifi-enabled S60 phone (mostly nokia smartphone but also samsung i8510) into a walking hotspot. When I connect my iPod Touch to that I basically get a iPhone - albeit sans camera and sans GPS (but with GSM positioning) but most importantly, sans overly expensive contract).

Mistake or intentional? Apple is distributing firmware 3.0 for free to be used with restore feature in iTunes. And unlike the 2.0 update the cool new features are unlocked even if you don't pay.
Wonder when/if Apple is coming after my €9,97.
Download firmware from here. Then in iTunes and with iPod plugged in hold SHIFT key and click RESTORE in the iPod tab in iTunes then select the firmware file you just downloaded. It will take a few minutes plus, at the end you'll have to resync to have all your content restored (my 8GB iPod took 1-2 hours to restore completely). You'll keep your notes and most (if not all) settings.
